Infrastructure development is a key driver of progress across the African continent and a critical enabler for productivity and sustainable economic growth. According to a report by the Global Infrastructure Outlook, under current trends scenario, the total infrastructure investment forecast for Africa to 2040 is projected to be US $4.3 trillion, or US $174bn per year. Indeed most African countries have structured their recent national budgets by allocating large chunks of their annual expenditures to key infrastructural sectors like transport, energy, and housing. Public-private partnerships (PPPs) remain essential for providing the necessary infrastructure investment. We provide our special Lightning Round session where experts will be sharing on how different PPPs are developed across different countries in the region. We also provide you a platform to enrich yourself and your organisation by leveraging our highly interactive roundtable discussions; Think Pods.

This three-day conference paves the way towards exploring financing options for your infrastructure projects using innovative PPPs and other alternative financing mechanisms through our panel discussions ‘Public Private Dialogue’ and ‘Bridging the Finance Gap’ on infrastructure partnerships and innovate strategies. You will be guided to mobilise private sector financing through different types of funding mechanisms to support public infrastructure development. We bring you our Post Conference Workshop on Project Finance where you will be reassesing your understanding of project finance, negotiating techniques and ways to successfully implement project finance deals with enhanced private investments. This workshop will provide tools, methodologies and processes to assist the public and private sector organisations to strengthen their decision-making capacity in all key stages of the project finance cycle and at the same time, gain the perspective of the equity investor . We eagerly anticipate welcoming you to what promises to be a highlight in your calendar for 2019
